Storytime Registration
starts Wednesday, January 4

Storytime is fun but did you know that it also prepares your child to read and helps in developing important early literacy skills*? It's true!  By using fun, interactive, age-appropriate activities, Seekonk Library's storytimes will not only help your children discover a world of books, they will also get children off to a great start in becoming life-long readers.

STORYTIMES

LAPSIT
Books, fingerplays, simple rhymes and songs create a
program that focuses on language-building play for children birth to 2 1/2.

Mondays at 10:30 am followed by optional playgroup
January 23, 30, February 6, 13, 27, March 5
No storytime Monday, February 20 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
Lottery registration starts Wednesday, January 4
Placement preference is given to Seekonk residents.

TODDLER
Stories, fingerplays and a simple craft for children ages
2 years 6 months to 3 years 6 months.

Tuesdays at 10:30 am
January 24, 31, February 7, 14, 28, March 6
No storytime Tuesday, February 21 (school vacation week)

PRESCHOOL
Stories, arts and crafts and reading related activities

Kindergarten — Grade 2 Wednesdays at 3:45 pm
A program just for beginning readers! Enjoy hearing popular Easy Readers then choose favorite books to take home. Includes a craft, too!

PARENT/CHILD BOOK CLUB
Meets monthly on Mondays at 6:30 pm, Grades 4 and up
Join Danielle Kinney and her daughter Maddy for a great book,
a lively discussion and a book related activity.

Rocket Making with Don Morrison
Monday, January 23 at 4 pm
Children in grades 2 and up will make a Rubber Band Powered Rocket then participate in target games and distance competitions. Space is limited. Registration required.

Calligraphy Workshop for Kids
Tuesdays, January 24 - February 14 at 4 pm

Discover the art of calligraphy with Sara Martinho-Johnson.
Improve handwriting, enhance creativity and create projects. Fun!
All materials provided. Grades 4 and up. Space is limited.

Chess Club
Fridays, January 13 - February 17 at 3:45 pm

"Chessmasters" Jonathan Mingo and Michael Hinton will teach
beginners how to play chess while coaching others on how to improve their game. Grades 3 and up. Registration required.

Saturday Movie Matinee at 1 pm
January 21***February 18***March 17

An assortment of new releases and "fan favorites."
We can't mention the titles so call the Library to find out what's playing!
All ages. Free and open to the public. No registration required.
