Contempaissance
Wednesday, October 10 6:30 - 7:30pm
Contempaissance, the performing duo of Gary Jackson and Chris Glanville, bring music from the Medieval and Renaissance periods as well as pop and jazz to the library. This program is free and open to the public with funding provided by the Seekonk Cultural Council. No registration is necessary.
41 Signs of Hope - Dave Kane

Dave Kane, the author of 41 Signs of Hope, presents his personal story as the father of Nicholas O'Neill, the youngest victim of the Station Nightclub Fire in Rhode Island on February 20, 2003. That fire, which claimed 100 lives and injured 200, stands as the fourth deadliest nightclub fire in American history. In his book, Dave Kane tells of the events following this incredible tragedy that demonstrate the enduring certainty of life and love. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Seekonk Public Library.
Rhode Island: A Genial History
Wednesday, October 24 6:30 - 7:30pm
This evening take a tour of Rhode Island "rollicking history" with authors Paul Eno and Glenn Laxton. Segments of this book were featured by the History Channel for its special on the New England Hurricane of 1938 and will be included in the upcoming series on the 50 U.S. states. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Seekonk Public Library.
Computer Classes
Each month the library offers a variety of computer classes to SAILS library cardholders. Space is limited. Registration is required.
Book Discussions
Seekonk Public Library invites readers to join our lively discussion groups. The Contemporary Novels group selects a variety of styles, but all share the distinction of being critically acclaimed. The Chick Lit group focuses on humorous books primarily written by and about women. Discussion groups will meet at 6:30 p.m.
