St. Hilaire: IT IS A NEW RECORD!!! 89,345 items were handled by the staff in July and August. The library was only open 34 days so 2627 items were handled each day. The library will remain closed on Fridays throughout the year because of the library budget cut. Saturday's hours are 10am to 4pm. ________________________________________________________________ ***************************************************************** LIBRARY STATISTICS : August 2004 Items borrowed : 25,216 up 9% Children's programs: 21 Attendance 650 Reference Questions: Children 302 Adult 401 ***************************************************************** ****************************************************************** BAKER"S WANTED The Friends of the Seekonk Library will be holding a bake sale on November 2 in the library lobby. Please help by baking or buying baked goods. Please bring cakes, pies or any other donations to the library on Monday November 1 between 10 and 8pm. ****************************************************************** ***************************************************************** October 2004 Program Highlights CHESS CLUB is scheduled on Thursdays, October 7, 14, 21, & 28 from 4pm to 5pm LIBRARY LAPSIT is Monday, October 25th at 10:30am Lottery registration for SAILS Library cardholders is limited to 20 Children for this program TODDLER STORYTIME(Ages 2 years 6 months to 3 1/2) - Session will be held on Tuesdays October 5, 12, 19, 26 at 10:30am. Registration is required. PRESCHOOL STORYTIME (Ages 3 1/2 to 5 years) - Session will be held on Wednesdays October 6, 13,20, 27th at 10:30 am. Registration is required KIDS ONLY READING CLUB is on Wednesday October 20th at 3:45pm PARENT-CHILD BOOK CLUB moderated by Mary Forget will be meeting Monday night, October 18th at 6:30pm STAMP COLLECTING CLUB (Grades 1-5)will be held on Saturday, October 2, 16, & 30th at 2:00pm with meetings every other week.
