_________________________________________________________________ Seekonk Public Library News 4.11 November 2004 A monthly newsletter about the Seekonk Public Library http://www.seekonkpl.org news@seekonkpl.org _________________________________________________________________ Greetings from the Director: *******IT'S NOT OVER YET!********* The Town Administrator has already announced that there will not be enough money next year to level fund budgets. Once again the library must worry about meeting State standards. I am afraid that people do not understand what they will lose if we are decertified. It means the end of library service as we know it. Imagine what it would be like if the other libraries in our network refused to loan books to Seekonk! The Board of Library Trustees have already requested I provide them with a budget that meets all the minimum requirements for certification. I intend to let you know what we need. I will keep you, the library user, informed through this newsletter. ***************************************************************** IMPORTANT DATE - December 2nd!!!!!!!!! Do you have ideas on ways to deal with the upcoming revenue shortage? December 2, 2004 is an important date.
