QUESTION: WHAT is the impact of not maintaining Seekonk Public Library's state certification and grants for FY06? Other libraries in our network of 3.3 million items will not be required to loan their materials to Seekonk residents because Seekonk would not be meeting the minimum standards. Seekonk residents would only be able to borrow the 90,000 items in our library. Last year Seekonk's users borrowed 25,211 items from other libraries. *********************************************************** LIBRARY STATISTICS : December 2004 Items borrowed 18,625 Children's programs 8, attendance 84 Reference Questions: 590 *********************************************************** ************************************************************ February 2005 Highlights CHESS CLUB is scheduled on Thursdays, February 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th from 4pm to 5pm STAMP COLLECTING CLUB is on Saturday, February 19th & February 26th from 2pm to 4pm KIDS ONLY READING CLUB is on Wednesday February 23rd at 3:45pm PARENT-CHILD BOOK CLUB will be meeting Monday night, February 28th at 6:30pm THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS ARE AT CAPACITY FOR THIS SESSION LIBRARY LAPSIT is Monday, February 28th at 10:30am TODDLER STORYTIME(Ages 2 years 6 months to 3 1/2) - One six week session on Tuesdays starting January 25 through March 1st at 10:30 am PRESCHOOL STORYTIME (Ages 3 1/2 to 5 years) - One six week session will be held on Wednesdays starting January 26th through March 2nd at 10:30 am NOTE: Library will be closed on Monday, February 21st in observance of Presidents Day Check our website for more details http:/www.seekonkpl.org Select Calendar of Events for details of these and other programs being held at the library! ************************************************************** **************************************************************
