Greetings from the Director, Sharon St. Hilaire:

     ******         BUDGET UPDATE       *******

Five members of the Board of Selectmen indictated they would support
a library budget that would meet the certification requirements. They 
did not vote on the budget last week, but will do so at a meeting with
the Finance Committee next week. Thanks to all of you who made phone 
calls because the calls really helped. 

Our biggest hurdle will then be Town Meeting of May 23rd. I will keep
update you as things occur.

APRIL 2005 Program Highlights


CHESS CLUB is scheduled on Thursdays, April 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th
from 4pm to 5pm

STAMP COLLECTING CLUB is on Saturday, April 2nd, 16th, & 30th
from 2pm to 4pm 

KIDS ONLY READING CLUB is on Wednesday April 27th at 3:45pm

PARENT-CHILD BOOK CLUB will be meeting Monday night, 
April 25th at 6:30pm


THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS REQUIRE REGISTRATION WHICH BEGINS
ON MONDAY, APRIL 4TH 

LIBRARY LAPSIT which is the popular and gentle storytime for 
infants from birth through age 2 1/2 will meet Monday, April 25TH &
May 23rd at 10:30am   Lottery registration for Sails Library
cardholders is limited to 20 children for this program

 
TODDLER STORYTIME(Ages 2 years 6 months to 3 1/2) - One six week 
session on Tuesdays starting April 26th through May 31st
at 10:30 am 
   

PRESCHOOL STORYTIME (Ages 3 1/2 to 5 years) - One six week
session will be held on Wednesdays starting April 27 through
June 1st at 10:30 am


NOTE: Library will be closed Patriots’ Day Monday April 18th
