The library sponsors a number of basic computer classes for SAILS library card holders. Contact the Adult Services Department at 508-336-8230, ext. 130.

Basics Computers
Covers the basics in using your computer – the desktop, using the mouse, managing windows, and more.
Basic Internet
Introduces the Internet and covers how to use an Internet browser to find web sites of interest to you.
Basic Email
Covers using Yahoo for receiving and sending email and attachments.
Internet Topics
Blogging 101:Create Your Website
Covers examples of blogs and what it takes to easily create your own website with Blogger.
Digital Photographs
Provides an overview of getting pictures from your camera to the computer and introduces free popular online photo editing services such as Picnik.
Facebook 101
Gives an introduction to the basics of using Facebook including security settings, making posts and reviewing the newsfeed.
Online Job Applications
Introduces the steps involved with an online job application, including completing online forms and copying, pasting, and uploading resumes.
Optimal Resume
Provides an introduction to using the Optimal Resume service to create resumes, cover letters and more. Please note: Optimal Resume is only available to patrons with a Seekonk Library card.

Word I: Basics
Introduces the basics of typing and editing documents in Word as you create a letter.
Word II: Layout
Covers adding headers, footers, page numbers and images to documents.

Reviews the Excel spreadsheet environment as well as entering and formatting text.

Covers using formulas and functions for calculations in Excel.

Covers tools such as sorting, filtering and charts for organizing and presenting data.

Covers the basics of using text, numbers, and formulas in Excel. Alternative to Excel I and II classes.
